Note | Heavy, solid and sparkling nacred specimen with a unique and wonderful display of sparse superbly distributed and alluring dorsal blotches. The exceptional deep water venusta has a excellent size/weight ratio, cream colored dorsum with flawless extremities including a porcelain-like base and thick rounded margins. The pattern is impressive and defines a classic collectible. Diver located and harvested at 24-30 meters on sponges among rocks off Albany, Western Australia. The posterior ramp shows the typical dimpled sculptures around the spire (not defects) and demonstrates a mild wobble mid-dorsum. Grade: GEM minus. |
