| Note | Huge-sized example of a wonderfully reticulate patterned and strongly colored southern Indian Ocean subspecies. Size matters for any collector. This large-sized massive and weighted specimen demonstrates a lovely primary color with intricate complex patterning, clear lateral line, moderate marginal tuberculation and prominent aperture teeth. Present are perfect posterior extremities and excellent base nacre gloss. Taken off Dauphin, Madagascar by Scuba diver at 25-30 meters under a reef ledge. The large immanis exhibits a subnacre wobble mid-dorsum, a sprinkle of subnacre flecks on the mid-lateral wall, columellar side and self-repaired palpable disruption on the anterior extremity, columellar side. Grade: F++/F+++. |
