| Note | Remarkable specimen with ultra-calloused porcelain-like margins and a high weight/size ratio.The displays an amazing ovate and humped gibba morphology. Distinctive reticulated pattern with mild banding, mild tuberculation, sparse lateral wall spotting and highly glossed base are profoundly evident. The exceptionally thick calloused margins on this specimen are outstanding. Taken by local diver (fisherman) at 2-4 meters in rock crevice off Racha islands, Phuket, Thailand in 12/2017. Specimen shows self-healed nicks or chips on both extremities, three small nacre disruptions mid-dorsum and nacre break on the spire (protoconch). Grade: F+/F++. |
