Note | Remarkable species only found in a restricted area limited to Southwest Australia . This rare, irregularly pyriform specimen displays an excellent nacre gloss, exceptional array of distinct dorsal lacunae, intense dorsal line just above the labrum and a dense distribution of labral aperture teeth. The specimen is moderately rostrate and the thick labral margin exhibits notable tuberculation. A superb example of this rare subspecies and highly desirable specimen for the collector who doesn't have one. The shell was taken by Scuba diver at 20-25 meters in the Denmark area, Western Australia in 2001. The specimen includes the original data slip from Felix Lorenz. The fallax fallax exhibits a drill hole on the posterior base as seen in the upper right image (arrow) and is very fresh Dead Collected. Grade: F+++/GEM minus.....the drill hole. |
