Note | CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR SALE! The rarest out of all Z. thersites and top of the rarest Zoila. This var. is impossible to buy nowadays. Gem shell like that may come from old collections only and could cost 15-20 thousand US$. There were a few collected by divers before Kangaroo Island was turned into Marine Park. Nice, colorful, heavy ( 118 grams), fully mature shell with broad heavy base - the main characteristic of this shallow water form comparing with much lighter deep water Z.thersites contraria. Shell is faded over the years already. No more color loss - very big concern for Zoila collectors. Beautiful embryonic dark marking on the back looks very attractive. Well developed and super dotted callus. There are some overglazed scratches and air blisters on the back. Nice terminals, but some overglazed chip on columellar side of posterior terminal. F++. No growth lines which is very rare conditions for this form collected by shell diver at 21meters off Penneshaw, Kangaroo Island, 2009. Original hand written data label is with the shell. |
