F++. FLATTENED SPINES IN SHADES OF RED AND GREEN. It is a large A. sphaerula, over 70 mm. The shell is initially bright red and changes to brown tones towards the opening. The spines are green, spatulate and the last two fully developed spines have a tube that reaches almost to the shoulder. A very impressive feature indeed, which raises this Angaria to a high aesthetic level.
