| Note | For offer here is a rare opportunity to acquire a DEEPWATER friendii from the Cape Naturaliste area. An area rarely explored by divers, the deeper waters around Cape Naturaliste provide a suitable habitat for this larger inflated form of friendii to occur. It has a extremely INFLATED SHAPE, which resembles f. insulata from the Hopetoun/Starvation Bay area, and far more prominent and rostrate canals than the friendii located at the shallower water populations around Busselton and Forrest Beach. The light weight of the shell is also typical of other specimens i have found for this area and is very noticeable when compared to other friendii examples. A classic dorsal pattern with blue, white and gold colouration underneath of dark brown/black blotches is highly attractive and this specimen would make a fine addition to any collection. F++/F+++ condition with some light sand blistering along the middle of the dorsum and a small area of very light natural lines around the anterior canal but no chips to canals and presents extremely well! Self collected on low profile limestone reef grazing on a brown mat sponge amongst seagrass, short algae and sparse sponge growth at 22m. 2 Miles East of Cape Naturaliste, W.A.
