Note | Here we have a BEAUTIFUL DARKER SPECKLED variety of marginata marginata. Know for its usual pale pink or white colouration; they sometimes exhibit slightly darker patterns and this is a great example of that. A lovely HONEY coloured dorsum is lightly covered with a scattering of darker brown blotches and a soft grey margin with well defined spotting adds to the beauty. It’s CONVEX ROUNDED BASE and ovate shape is a defining characteristic in all marginata marginata and is present here. Gem- grade with the only flaw i can see being a micro fish bite on the anterior canal but otherwise fantastic condition! Taken by diver in small hole in reef wall covered with various sponge and marine life at 25m. 3 Miles North of Rottnest Island, W.A. March 2024 *White marks are from camera reflection.
