Note | For this auction, I present two incredibly unique Hexaplex, for true connoisseurs and advanced collectors! This fantastic specimen is from C. Blanchand collection, found in Calamajue, Gulf of California, by lobster divers in 1972, on rocks in 8m deep, live taken. A genuine top degree melanist specimen of carbon black color with soft natural gloss, very fresh and glossy aperture. The color of the aperture varies from brown to completely black. Excellent condition with clean and strong surface and very massive body. Small chip in siphonal canal. Original operculum. F++/F+++. This is museum quality specimen which is ultra rare to find, only a few pieces known in some of the finest collections in the world.
