A BEAUTIFUL NICKLES CRENULATA FROM GAMBIA. Chama crenulata is endemic to West Africa and has been described in the literature from Senegal and Gabon. This is a large section along the sandy coast, which offers little substrate for species such as Chama, all of which require hard objects to establish themselves. The play of coloration, shapes and spines in this shell is very astonishing and delicate. This is one of the better crenulata seen in recent decades.
Gambia. Brufut. In nets from local fishermen. March 2018.
