| Note | A distinct and rare form of this endemic New Caledonian species. Atypical dusky ochre-orange, (as opposed to the usual vivid reddish orange). Partially granulose external surface. Hypermature, with ultra-recurved siphonal canal. Quite solid and weighty. Retention of the ultra-delicate protoconch. Perfection. Data: Passe de Dumbéa, off Dumbéa, Nouméa, South Province, Grande Terre, New Caledonia; upon fine coral sand/rubble substrate, near reef, at night; 50-60 m; dived; 1990s. Size: 48.4 mm. Grading: Gem.
