Size | 29.1 mm |
Locality | Exmouth Gulf, W.A. |
Note | On offer here is one of the GREAT RARITIES from the Cribraria complex. Only very recently have we discovered a brand new population of exmouthensis exmouthensis in the Exmouth Gulf. We have collected just a couple of these incredibly rare shells of which haven't been collected in the last 20+ years since pearl divers were in operation in the area. This specimen has a SUPREME DARK CHESTNUT coloured dorsum with perfect white lucanae, classic margin and hints of a BLUE HALO. The rostrated canals and wider aperture which is found in all true e.exmouthensis. Images speak for themselves and this would belong in any advanced collection around the world! I have increased starting price so that I may add extra images and allow for a better view of this incredible shell. GEM++ Grade with 0 flaws that I can see, exceptional condition! Taken by diver of a hard black sponge in very silty, sponge garden reef at 12m. Exmouth Gulf, W.A. March 2024. *White marks are from camera reflection. Please ask about additional images* |
