| Note | Gorgeous rare specimen from this remote area in the Central Pacific. Inflated, rostrated specimen with hyper-glossy dorsum and eloquent pattern. The elongate cylindrical shell shows a netted dorsum with fine blue/grey sparsely arranged spots. The margins also show intense spotting and a blue/blotched brown base. Perfect extremities, dorsum and base. Collected by Scuba diver Paul Kanner under rocks at 15-20 meters in Taioha'e Bay, Nuku Hiva, Marquesas in 11/2002. Grade: GEM. |
