Item | # 0003378563 |
Family | Cypraeidae |
Name | Naria cernica viridicolor - Stunning Live Gem !!! , (C. N. Cate, 1962) |
Size | 24.9 mm |
Locality | False Entrance, WA |
Note | Magic cernica found at night scooting across a geodia sponge in 124 metres of water west of False Entrance off Shark Bay during May 2024. We are rarely able to capture them as they are small and very fast. This time we cheated by placing our catcher between the shell and the hiding spot it was heading for and it crawled strait unto our catcher. I conclude this proves I am smarter that the average cernica.
Gorgeous gem with honey colored dorsum and china white base. GEM. |
