| Note | Here we have a SUPER FRESH example of this uncommon species. Far rarer than the m.consueta from the Carnac Island area; this form inhabits deeper water and is much harder to find. This lovely specimen has a soft pink colour to it with some feint brown markings on its dorsum and vibrant ORANGE margins. A perfect set of canals at both ends and a convex, rounded base completes this classic deeper water shell. F++/F+++ condition with typical growth lines for the species and some micro algae inclusions on its dorsum but still presents wonderfully. Taken by diver from a narrow limestone crack filled with various sponges at 24m. 3 Nautical Miles North of Rottnest Island, W.A. June 2024 *White marks are from camera reflection.
