Note | Giant, rock heavy Hawaiian specimen with an excellent weight/size ratio and superb nacre shine. As good as they come. The shell has a thick calloused base and margins with a typical distribution of glazed tubercles along the lateral margins of the labral side. Mellow colors and impressive dorsal banding. Deep purple teeth complement the impressive base also with high gloss. The heavy beauty found by Scuba diver hidden in a cave crevice off Haleiwa, Oahu, Hawaii at 8-10 meters on a night dive in 1985. Subtle and small glazed defects on the dorsal and one mini-wobble in the columellar lateral wall. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
