| Note | Elongate, slightly inflated specimen with distinctive dark brown spotted patterning painted over a beautiful blue/grey and white primary hued dorsum. The lateral walls show a significant thick black band above moderate to strong marginal spotting on the porcelain white margins. The base shows various shades of coffee brown/black which is highlighted and framed by the porcelain white margin. A beautiful smaller specimen with a thick glossy nacre. Scuba diver taken while feeding on sponges at 10-12 meters off Forrest Beach, Western Australia in 10/2023. The specimen exhibits a barely noticeable growth fold on the labral lateral wall of the anterior extremity. Grade GEM minus. |
