| Note | Mellow-hued example of a rare live-taken glossy nacred deep water species. The shell shows an moderate display of blotching on the columellar and labral side. The pyriform shell has fine marginal spotting, blotched extremities with two faint dorsal bands highlighting the dorsum. The boucheti exhibits perfect extremities and base. Dredged off Peng Chia Yu Island, Taiwan, Northeast China Sea in 11/23 at 150-200 meters.The shell has minor blemishes on the dorsum and a small delaminated area seen under magnification on the posterior ramp. Grade: F+++/GEM minus. |
