| Note | Solid, colorful, and dark double banded pattern underscore this particular and spectacular Indian Ocean cone shell. The specimen exhibits excellent porcelain white tenting, symmetry and intense hues of pink within the dynamic bands. The large Conus presents with a clean and intact spire, minor wear of the protoconch and some minor chipping of the middle and anterior natural lip. The cone demonstrates a moderate weight/size ratio. Taken at 80-120 meters by dredging off Kollam, Kerala, India in 2018. Grade: F+++. |
