Note | Large, hyper-glossy and well-calloused member of this endemic Hawaiian species. Brilliant color and reticulated pattern. Heavy shell, with thick calloused margins and beautiful dark spotting extending over the margins and peripheral base. A solid shell with a strong weight/size ratio.The specimen has perfect extremities and dorsum. Discovered off Kaena Point, Oahu, Hawaii on night dive while trucking across a lava cave wall at 20-25 meters in 2013. The specimen is difficult flaw. Grade: GEM. |
