| Note | Attractive deep water specimen with a distinctive a bright and balanced dorsal blotching pattern with subtle and dark hued roundhouse cantaloupe/orange color band complementing the lateral walls and margins. The langfordi features a deep glossy nacre, perfect calloused extremities and distinctive dorsal blotching. The shell demonstrates moderate rostration and an inflated body. Trawled in the East China Sea off Taiwan at 140-150 meters in 12/2018. The specimen has a shallow wobble of the labral lateral wall and a shallow mini-drill pit mid-dorsum (arrows). Grade: F+++. |
