| Note | Moderately large example of the popular species. The shell displays remarkable dark patterning, a perfect protoconch, spire and body whorl. Moderately heavy shell with superb body whorl gloss and three clean body whorl bands. Taken by tangle net at 150-200 meters off the Davao Gulf, South Mindanao, Philippines in 2012. There is evident a small shallow chip on the anterior natural lip. Grade: F+++/GEM. NOTE: Shipments for current auction will commence August 7. |
