Note | An absolute darling of a specimen from California. The shell has a perfect spire, apex and wonderful varical flanges (wings) with deep gutters and superb fluting. With a perfect bone white oval aperture, anterior canal, rostrate process and intact siphonal canal. The dark brown/black and sienna banding on the body whorl highlight the white flared wings. A remarkable and heavier specimen with high and wonderful aesthetic appeal. Collected by Scuba diver Paul Kanner off Los Angeles Harbor, California at 10-12 meters on breakwater rocks during night dive in the 90's. Grade: GEM minus. |
