| Note | Of all the Livonia family, Joerinkensi is probably the most difficult to obtain and very rarely offered for sale. This one was trawled by scampi boats in the remote NW of Western Australia in depths around 350 metres. It is a dead taken specimen. Smaller than average , protoconch is missing but that’s typical of this species. The lip is chipped and broken , I have not attempted to file it or repair in any way, just left natural. The main section of the shell and dorsum is in quite good condition and free of growth lines and major flaws. I have not cleaned or oiled it . Overall it’s presents OK and makes a great representation of a true rarity. One for the Livonia lovers. |
