| Note | At virtually 54 mm, this spectacular GIANT is the LARGEST merletti of the JES Collection. Hypermature, with incredible weight for the species. Ultra-rich, saturated colour, due to its great age: majority of external surface covered in axial maculations of ultra-dark red-orange, edged with yellow, with accents of pure white ground, to spectacular aesthetic effect. No longer collected, and now very difficult to obtain, especially at such size and quality. A special merletti for the Conidae connoisseur. Data: Passe de Dumbéa, off Dumbéa, Nouméa, South Province, Grande Terre, New Caledonia; upon fine coral sand/rubble substrate, near reef, at night; 50-60 m; dived; 1994. Size: 53.9 mm.
