| Note | One very nice specimen of the large Strombidae species Lobatus peruvianus of about 205 mm in maximum dimensions (from tip to tip). This specimen was live collected by fishermen off Paracas, central Perú and it is in very good condition for the species as it preserves the first whorls and periostracum, and the lip is in excellent condition. The only damage to the shell is an old scar which is not very visible and some dagame to the border of the siphonal canal, as can be seen in the photos.
A low initial price for a very nice specimen. |
