| Note | Impressive and hyper-inflated extra large beauty from southern Australia. The specimen shows a wide/sparse lateral line, large golden dorsal blotches and perfect extremities. These specimens are rarely collected today after Australian restrictions were imposed beginning with the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act. Trawled at 170 meters on sand and rubble bottom in the Great Australian Bight, Eucla, South Australia in 5/2015. One minor insignificant subnacre silt grain on each ramp of the dorsum. Grade: GEM minus. |
