F++. Remarkable Salmianus that was on display in the Conchology showroom for several years. This specimen is of good size, caught alive, and with unusual stepped shoulders. The coloration is very good, with a well-marked red line on either side of the selenizone. The opening and the start of the vent are classically damaged, although less so than usual for this species.
China. East China Sea. Trawled. 200 m.
