| Note | THE ONLY ORANGE SPECIOSUM: RARISSIME. Orange speciosum are a rarity: the only very pale and not beautifully orange specimen was shown at Rombouts in 1991. This shell here is bright orange, like a sun, and has never been shown in the literature before. Rare, unseen. Nor was such a bowl available at the time of the iconography. From Okinawa, formerly widespread in the Philippines, but very rare now that hooka diving is forbidden. Breathtaking and probably unique.
