| Note | F+++. A GREAT EXAMPLE. A volute that is usually collected dead and is quite rough. Only a tiny percentage of these specimens are in prime condition. Live-caught specimens are particularly rare”. The present form is stable in coloration, shape and thickness of the shell. The condition is excellent, caught alive and with a nearly perfect lip. Only very rarely available in such top quality. From an old collection.
South Australia, Ceduna, Great Australian Bight, collected by fish boats on muddy rubble bottom in 90m depth, live taken specimen shell.
