| Note | Exceptionally patterned, heavy specimen with a strong nacre gloss and excellent form. The specimen presents impressive and pleasing longitudinally branched geometric lines, three distinct blotched bands and a porcelain white aperture. The shell has a flawless apex, spire and body whorl. The kuroharai was caught by local fisherman at 120-140 meters using tangle nets off Bohol, Philippines circa 2000. The specimen shows a series of mini/shallow chips along the thin natural lip. Grade: F+++. |
