| Note | Excellent example of this prominent murex species. Characterized by brilliant color, excellent elevated structures, intricate fronds and purple/violet rami. Beautiful symmetry, form and impressive size/weight ratio. Flawless apex, spire, aperture lip and siphonal canal. The rock shell was captured off Olango Island, Cebu, Philippines by compression diver at 20-25 meters at the base of a reef reef at night. A growth disruption area can be viewed on ventral body whorl above the aperture and there extis a mini-chip on the columellar aperture lip. Grade: F+++. |
