| Note | Exquisite example of a rare highly sought after live-captured deep water Western Pacific collectors showpiece. Ultra thick and glossy nacre with an impressive array of large symmetrically balanced spots.The solid shell has a strong weight/size ratio, thick calloused margins, moderate rostration and pronounced, flawless and elongated aperture teeth. The specimen exhibits seamless extremities, lustrous base and a dazzling dorsum. The leucodon was trapped by tangle nets at 150-200 meters the late 90s off Bohol, Philippines. Grade: GEM. |
