F++. FROM BRAZIL AND CALLED BRASILIANA. This is the subspecies of Tonna galea that lives on the west coast of the Atlantic. Tonna galea do not live very shallow. They are fascinating shells - we rarely see the animal - and in Europe the species is distributed in the extreme eastern Mediterranean. It is now illegal to catch them in the Mediterranean. This particular specimen from Brazil is already well sized for the species, especially wide and with the color of milky chocolate particularly attractive. Only minor imperfections, lip smoothed as usual. This species is extremely rare from this destination, in good size and beautiful condition.
