| Note | Vivid color, mature, dark patterned and richly nacred deep water, hard to find jeaniana classic. Superior dorsal blotch/spotting, apricot/peach/brown highlighted extremities and moderate lateral wall spotting on apricot lateral walls hallmark this elegant, strongly rostrated specimen with perfect extremities and base. An outstanding specimen with impressive gloss and shades of russet/chocolate brown caressing the flawless base. Taken in deeper water off False Entrance, Shark Bay, Western Australia at 105 meters while on dining on a geodia sponge in 5/2023 by ROV (remotely operated vehicle). Present is a subnacre fish-bite/growth fold/healed wobble area on the posterior labral ramp as visible in imaging. GRADE: F++/F+++. |
