It's large size, thick rich nacre, perfect extremities, strong rostration and inflated shape accentuates the beauty of this very remarkable specimen. The shell displays light orange/pink marginal spotting. The pantherina was nabbed in 5/2021 off Shalatin, Egypt by Scuba diver on night dive at 25-30 meters in crevice on a coral reef while feasting on a sponge. The specimen is hard to flaw except for a shallow mini-wobble on the mid-dorsum. Grade: GEM minus. |
