| Note | Elongate, slightly inflated specimen with distinctive dark black spotted patterning over the dorsum on a blue/brown/shale white ground/primary color. The Zolia shows pitch black lateral walls that hide the classic spotting except for the columellar margin. The base is basically pitch black. A beautiful smaller and remarkable specimen with a thick glossy nacre. The specimen has a prefect dorsum, extremities and base. Scuba diver taken at 4-8 meters on a Mat Sponge nested on a limestone reef off Forrest Beach, Geographe Bay, Western Australia in 10/2023. Grade: GEM. |
