| Note | Beautiful rhomboidal form, remarkable/striking lateral wall patterning and coloration complement this large specimen. The dorsum beams a pitch black maculae/blotch-pattern that serves as the lateral line roadway. Strong nacre gloss with perfect extremities with distinctive lateral wall intra-patterning present. The large bicornis demonstrates an excellent size/weight ratio, Trawled from the Caribbean Sea by fishing boats at 60 meters on sand bottom along with sponges in 6/2016 off Amuay Bay, Falcón, Venezuela. The specimen demonstrates a blister area on the columellar base and a collection of minor negligible blemishes tracking across and along the pattern that overlies the dorsal line. Grade: F++. |
