Note | Rare and captivating specimen. Heavy weight to size ratio shell with exquisite base markings and color. The shell presents with a malleated dorsum that is devoid of common spotting, typically seen in this subspecies. Excellent nacre gloss, perfect terminals and a shiny glossy nacre. The margins are strongly corrugated with moderate tuberculation. Scuba diver collected at 40-45 meters while nestled on a Geodia sponge, off South Kalbarri, central Western Australia in 1/ 2005. The specimen presents with some shallow/minor dorsal wobbles, hard to notice without scrutiny. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
