| Note | Outstanding giant example of this wonderfully patterned southern Indian Ocean subspecies form. This large specimen demonstrates a lovely primary color with intricate reticulated patterning, strong lateral wall spotting and prominent aperture teeth.The shell features excellent and consistent nacre gloss, thick calloused margins, perfect base and extremities with a faint varying multi-width dorsal line. The specimen was harvested off Lavanono, Madagascar, South Africa by Scuba diver at 2-3 meters in reef crevice circa 2020. The shell has multiple micro/mini/smaller subnacre blemishes on the lateral walls and dorsum under close inspection. Grade: GEM minus. |
