| Note | MACTRIDAE - Mactrellona exoleta . SPECIAL RARITY WOOOOW!!! I remember in 2015 I was fishing on the beach when suddenly dozens of this bivalve appeared alive on the beach without reason or motive even with the fresh animal. I thought it was something usual for that area, but it never happened again and what I collected was the only thing and specimens I have ever seen in my whole shell collecting career. Here I show you the last specimen I have in my German collection with a large size and very good condition. The real Giant with 87.1mm, very thick-elevated body form and superb preserved periostracum as usual, the best of the best for the species, Exceptional conditions , size and great sculpture. Gem. From my private collection!! Found at extremely low tide live in the beach and buried. Playa Boca Negra, Puerto Vallarta, Bahia de Banderas, Jalisco, Mexico. March 2015. Value for this special giant and rare seldom seen species in Mexico: 40-45 euro. ATTENTION!!!
