This specimen's dorsal valve is a brilliant dark mauve with pink radial rays. The priessiana form is distinguished from type fumatus that occurs in Eastern Australia by a fine radial grove that runs down the centre of the large ribs on the basal valve. A standout in your pecten collection! |
