| Note | Absolutely stunning bright orange based example of the dwarf population of jeaniana that inhabit an area where they are morphing into aurata , the shells a very small in this location and live on unusual deep sponges. Very rarely we find one like this with an incredible orange base . Typically jeaniana shaped with a lovely creamy dorsum with fine ginger flecks . Very attractive shell indeed. When you turn see the base it’s just a wow factor. There is a significant growth step on the margin not noticeable when viewed dorsally but visible from the side. The shell has well healed this and created a kind of calloused step . Nonetheless this is a very impressive little shell . |
