| Note | One very interesting curiosity: One specimen (measuring about 9 mm in maximum dimensions) of the recently described nestling bivalve Petricola ramirezi Araya & Osorio, 2019 from El Tabo, central Chile, the type locality for the species. This species was discovered nestling inside empty cirripedian (Balanus laevis) shells, and thus it has rather variable shell outlines. This lot includes one specimens still inside an empty Balanus laevis chamber in a colony washed ashore. An interesting Natural History Item from the SE Pacific for a rather low price. |
