| Note | Really rare luck to get a shell of genus Volutopsius in your collection. As discussed before mollusks react poorly to bait in traps and are rarely caught. In addition this shell is very fragile and breaks easily. Note the chipped lip visible in the photo, but the dorsum is in excellent condition. Interesting color range from yellow to brown, grade F+.
Location: Bering sea, 2013, 95-105m. depth. The shells will be shipped from Thailand. Please write if you need high quality photos |
