| Note | Kollam, Kerala, India; Trawled at 150 - 200 meters deep; August 2018. Big specimen of this "Glory cone", one of the 50 rare shells of Peter Dance and one of what I see as the "Holy Trinity" in shell collecting. A must have for any collection, even if you don't collect Cone shells. This is a very good specimen, only minor chipping in the lip and one smaller growth mark, not harming the overall beauty of this jewel. Some erosion on the spire, as can be expected in a specimen of this size. |
