Item | # 0003536753 |
Family | Harpidae |
Name | Harpa costata - Excessive Number of Ribs , (Linnaeus, 1758) |
Size | 63.5 mm |
Locality | Mauritius, Mahebourg |
Note | F+++/GEM. Very unusual Multi-costata form with many more ribs than usual. It is rare and difficult to find a costata with so many ribs. This specimen has the most number of ribs I have ever seen. Excellent quality with great ribs and awesome shoulder spines. Perfect lip and proto. Very selected high quality specimen during my recent trip to Mauritius. Found by local fisherman in 5-8m deep on reef. |
