| Note | Here we have EASILY THE BEST example of this rare species I have seen. MAGNIFICENT CLEAN inner and outer whorl with no growth lines,worm holes or damage to be seen. Clean white background colour is covered with LONG BLACK spines with the main spines on top of the nodules being far LONGER THAN I HAVE SEEN! A supreme PINK colour is VERY STRONG around the outside of ever whorl on the shell which makes for an INCREDIBLE PIECE! Easily the best condition for this species that I have seen and I would grade it in Gem- condition with only some very small spines damaged being the only possible flaw for this shell. Live taken on tidal swept reef amongst weed and sponges at 12m. Dampier Archipelago W.A. November 2024 *White marks are from camera reflection. Please ask about additional images* |
