| Note | Wonderfully balanced and aesthetic specimen with violet/purple rami and strong/prominent multicolored axial ribs. The symmetry of the erect structures and the accentuated spreading of the leading and trailing axial structures is exceptional. The specimen displays a heavy weight/size ratio (55g), perfect apex spire, aperture lip and siphonal canal. Nabbed off rocks on a night dive at 10 meters just east of Taiohae Bay, Nuka Hiva, Marquesas in 11/2003 by Scuba diver Paul Kanner. The specimen exhibits no significant blemishes of the varices or the body whorl. Grade: GEM. |
