| Note | Lovely display of color, banding and china white tenting characterize this beautiful cone from the Andaman Sea. The overall impact visually of the specimen is memorable. The combination of form, balance of color and quality is hard to match. The central band is composed of a unique tightly grouped array of elegant and distorted white tents, giving it classic appeal for the avid collector. The shell was harvested by trawler at 100-120 meters offshore from the Mergui Islands, Myanmar in 2012. The specimen demonstrates a perfect apex, spire and body whorl with minor insignificant blemishes. Grade: GEM minus. |
